Things to consider

Safety advice – Please be advised that safety standards with regards to balconies differ in Europe and on occasions you may be allocated a room whereby the balcony is lower than we would expect in the UK and Ireland.

For your own safety, please ensure that you take care when on the balcony and do not lean on or over the railings. If you have children below the age of 12 in your party, please ensure they are supervised and not left unattended at any time.

Ski Bespoke hotel ratings are based on our current evaluations of the accommodation offered.  Consideration has been given to location, comfort of the rooms and the facilities offered whilst bearing in mind cost.

Please note that the ratings on our site give the official grading and our personal grading.  Official ratings can vary vastly from country to country and are often graded on aspects of the hotel that may not be relevant to you, such as conference facilities etc.

Seasonal Factors – Please note that snow conditions can be variable; this is more likely in early and late season. You should bear in mind that during peak season certain facilities and services may be busy or fully booked. For example: hotel and sports facilities, equipment rental, lessons, restaurants and bars. We would recommend that you consider your requirements before you go and allow us to pre-book any rentals, lessons etc to avoid disappointment.

Travel Advice – The Foreign & Commonwealth Office produces up-to-date travel information to help make informed decisions about travelling abroad. For further information please visit www.fco.gov.uk/knowbeforeyougo. We would recommend to you check if you have any doubts.

Passports and Entry Visas – when travelling abroad you will need a valid 10-year passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of exit from the country you are visiting. Children must have their own passports. The name on your passport must match the name that appears on your flight confirmation. It is your responsibility to ensure that you fully comply with all the necessary passports and visa entry requirements of the immigration authorities and other governmental agencies as appropriate. If travelling to the USA or via the USA you must have a machine readable passport which, if issued after 2006, will have an embedded chip. If the passport was issued prior to 2006 you should obtain a visa for the USA.

If you are travelling to or via the USA you are now required to apply for the visa waiver program (VWP) by using the Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA). This is a web based system and each passenger travelling to the USA (or via the USA) is required to apply for authority to travel at least 72 hours before departure. Travelling without authority may result in you being denied boarding for your flight or entry to the country. We highly recommend applying for the ESTA as soon as possible. Canada – www.cic.gc.ca. For the UK Passport agency please visit www.ukpa.gov.uk. Some countries require a letter of authority if a legal guardian is not travelling with a child.

Most countries now require additional passenger information (API) for example Canada and the USA. We will advise you if the country you are visiting requires this. If this is required it is essential that this information is provided prior to travelling. Failure to provide this information may result in you being denied to board your flight or entry to the country.

Local Licensing Laws – Please note that there are differences between UK and foreign laws regarding the consumption of alcohol, there are also a range of regulations from federal/state and national/province legislature (mainly in the USA and Canada). These determine aspects such as the minimum legal age, consumption of alcohol with a meal, presence of minors in locations where alcohol is served. Normally in the USA the minimum age is 21 and is strictly enforced. ID may be required. It is your responsibility to assess your parties requirements and if any regulations may affect any of your parties members.

What is included in your holiday price – All prices are quoted in pounds sterling. In the main total costs include return scheduled flights from the designated airport in the UK, accommodation on the occupancy and board basis stated, return road or rail transfers or car hire (unless otherwise stated).

What is not included in your holiday price 

• Holiday insurance
• Tourist taxes payable locally in Europe (generally a nominal nightly fee)
• Expenditure of a personal nature i.e. drinks in the room, laundry, room service etc
• Car parking in resorts and resort hotels
• Porterage where not provided by the hotel
• Meals (unless stated on your board basis)
• Drinks on flights (some carriers do offer this service)
• Tips and gratuities
• Transportation between your home and the UK departure airport
• Airline transit fees or resort fees (Except for North America)
• The following, although not included in your basic holiday, can be arranged by us on your behalf
• Ski passes
• Ski tuition
• Ski hire

Complaints – Ski Bespoke does not have resort representation. If you have a problem during your holiday please immediately inform the relevant supplier (for e.g. your hotelier) who will try to resolve any issues.  If your problem is not resolved locally by the supplier please contact us as soon as possible – whilst you are still in the resort.  An emergency telephone number will be provided with your travel documentation. If the issue remains unresolved, please follow up within 28 days of your return home in writing detailing all relevant information. Failure to notify us of any problems within this timeframe may affect your rights under contract.
