France

France has a vast choice of destinations, from its iconic world class resorts to rustic alpine villages.  Its resorts abound with chic boutiques, cafés and restaurants that offer traditional, regional and Michelin Star French cuisine, complemented with some of the world’s finest wines.

Looking beyond the functionality of some of its more modern, purpose-built resorts, everyday life is full of atmosphere and character amongst the many superb food shops and delicatessens that offer really good, ready-prepared meals – a bonus if you opt for one of our superb self-catering options – and cosy cafés serving excellent patisseries and crêpes.

The French resorts cater for every level of skier, whether the complete beginner or hard-core expert. It has the biggest lift and piste network in the world, offering fantastic ski connections between resorts and a huge variety of different terrains.  Most of the resorts are situated at high altitude, ensuring good snow until late in the season.  As off-piste skiing is a popular alternative, there are usually some excellent guides on hand to make the most of your day.

France is easily accessible from several of the United Kingdom’s airports ensuring easy transfers to the French resorts; however, peak periods can be stressful due to the sheer volume of traffic.
