Méribel’s sits at the centre of the Three Valleys ski domain. Its prime location affords its guests the opportunity to explore the vast area of perfect skiing from Courchevel to Val Thorens. The resort has something for every level of skier and is popular with families and young people, ensuring devotees return year after year.

It is considered to be one of the most tastefully designed of the French purpose-built resorts and attractive, chalet-styled architecture is used in abundance. It has a vibrant, full-on après ski with lots of trendy bars and pubs.

Its near neighbour, Mottaret is a much quieter option. Nevertheless, its good access to slopes and super park makes it a firm favourite with families.

The resort has good connections to Courchevel, La Tania and Val Thorens. Its quick and efficient lift system, with modern chairs and gondolas, serve either side of the valley and there are good links into the remainder of the Three Valleys ski domain.

The expert skier is well looked after with some long steep runs. For the intermediate, the skiing is close to paradise with a massive choice of runs and there are some gentle blues and greens for the novice. The majority of the resort sits above the tree-line but there are some sheltered runs through the trees. The two superb ski parks are considered one of the best places for freestyle in Europe. It also has some excellent off-piste and back country skiing.  For the snowboarder Méribel terrain is good and varied with some good tree runs.

There are a few mountain restaurants on the slopes, however, many skiers head over to Courchevel or one of the other valleys for lunch.

Off-mountain activities include dog sledding, ice hockey, hot air ballooning, ice skating, marked winter walks, mountain flying, paragliding and snow shoeing.
