Austria
Austria is a truly beautiful country. Its alpine scenery varies from lush rolling meadows to majestic snow capped mountains. Its villages have a traditional charm and still maintain a working ethos which goes hand in glove with its warm welcome to visitors.
The Austrian people are welcoming and friendly. Their hospitality is renowned and their après ski is legendary. In most regions you will still see the traditional dress of the Austrian people worn in their everyday lives.
Their cuisine reflects the country’s healthy lifestyle choice by mixing contemporary dishes, local produce and traditional fare into its varied menus.
Austrian accommodation is of a consistently good standard, whether it is a small family run or a 5 star hotel.
Looking beyond the world class resorts, Austria has many smaller, idyllic villages that offer excellent amenities and perfect skiing for the beginner and families.
Learning to ski in Austria is a fun experience. Most of the excellent instructors speak very good English and make learning enjoyable, for adults as much as children.
Most Austrian resorts are easily accessible from Salzburg, Innsbruck and Zurich with a maximum transfer time of 2 ½ hours.
