Italy offers dramatic scenery, excellent skiing and good value for money. It is an enjoyable skiing alternative. The resorts have an atmosphere of style and panache that leave no doubt in your mind that you have chosen an Italian ski experience.
Excellent food and wine, long leisurely lunches and a far more relaxed attitude towards skiing complement its stylish shops, cafés and bars, whilst eating takes on a far more important place in the day’s events for those who like to ski in the slow lane. For others the resort’s high altitude, good lift systems and excellent network connections ensure the perfect ski holiday.
The resort’s snow-making facilities are state-of-the art and the grooming is immaculate. The slopes tend to be ideal for intermediaries. Many of the Italian runs are easier than their classification suggests and red runs are usually manageable by competent intermediates.
Many of the pistes tend to be less crowded during the week when the weekend crowd from the nearby Italian cities return home. Italian skiers tend to start late and finish early and its mountain restaurants are welcoming for long leisurely lunches.
