Team Ski Bespoke revisited this wonderful resort July 2017 and we are even more enthusiastic about it.
We have had superb feedback from our clients both individuals and families. A resort certainly worth visiting but shhh don’t tell anybody…
The holiday region of Fiss ranks amongst the top ski regions in Austria. Situated on a sunny plateau at an altitude of 1400m above the Tyrolean Inn valley, the region boasts more than 2,000 hours of sunshine per year, and is reputed to be the sunniest spot in Tyrol.
Surrounded by sparkling white mountain tops and a brilliant blue sky, the ski area of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, covers an elevation between 1,200 and 2,800 metres of which 135 kms are covered by snow cannons and snow is guaranteed until well into the spring.
The range of slopes on the plateau is ideal for all levels of skier with wide pistes and plenty of space. Snowboarders have their own fun park and a huge freeride area, carvers have their own slopes and speed freaks can enjoy a permanent racing slope to compete with friends. After a day on the slopes you can easily and safely store your personal ski equipment at the lower cable car station. There is also a free ‘Alpine Shuttle’ bus operates between Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis.
Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is home to Europe’s most family-friendly ski domain. There are special-reserved children’s zones within the skiing area ( Berta’s Kinderland in Fiss). There is also special children’s restaurants, an igloo and American Indian village, Fiss Cave World, fun parks, a tubing park, kids snowmobiles, as well as the ‘Murmlitrail’ & Bear Run. Children who prefer to snowboard are welcome in the Boarder Club. Starting in the Fun and Practice Area, and then heading to the north side to Funpark Fiss where you’ll find rails, tables and big air jumps.
The area has some cosy mountain restaurants, down-to-earth mountain huts, splendid sunny terraces and après ski bars in the majestic atmosphere of snow-covered mountains.
Winter romantics will love a horse drawn sleigh ride through the fairytale landscape. Or why not don a pair of snow shoes and follow the tracks through this magical winter wonderland? Alternatively, there are 140km of cross country skiing paths to be explored all over the sunny Fiss plateau.
